ABOUT WAYNENGUY

Dinh Quan “Wayne” Nguyen is a Vietnamese filmmaker and photographer. He has just finished second year studying Film Production at Catalyst Berlin, where he’s exploring different aspects of filmmaking, especially directing and cinematography.

Wayne came into filmmaking through both commercial work and an early love for analogue film. That mix of backgrounds informs his approach—intuitive, emotional, and grounded in observation. He’s drawn to fleeting moments and the way people connect.

Influenced by the romances he watched growing up, Wayne likes to call himself a cheesy filmmaker—not as a joke, but as a way to embrace the sincerity in his work.
